According to research from Reading University, consuming beetroot juice or beetroot-enriched bread can significantly lower blood pressure. Other UK based research suggests that in addition to its cardio-protective effects, beetroot juice also improves blood flow to the brain and may provide valuable dietary support in the fight against cognitive decline and dementia.
